Summer 2013 must try trend were the matching sets. We’ve seen so many variations of it from crop tops paired with a pencil skirt, to pant suit, to our ever favorite pencil skirts. Like, who wouldn’t love them? Not only does it make you instantly chic and trendy, but hello, its shopping made easy! But we can’t always just wear it as it is; we have to maximize its versatility. And that’s another thing I love about matching sets, their easy to mix and match! In these looks, I wore a houndstooth print matching set separately.

The top – I wanted to create a look that is inspired by the snowy streets of New York. Since we don’t have winter here in the Philippines, this look would do great if I were to visit Baguio during the holidays, or to Tagaytay, where this shoot was actually shot at.

The bottom – Since they’re shorts, I wanted to do a more fun party look. This one I would totally wear to a casual trip to the mall, or to a night out with the girls. I wore a sheer black top, the same suede booties and finished the look with a gold and white necklace and this cute gold and white belt. I completed the look with these mirror sunglasses that gives it that cool retro vibe.
